Copyright and Author’s right

All the photographs of completed projects and images of paintings, drawings, and sketches by Aldo Rossi, as well as the his books, texts, letters and written documents, are protected by copyright and author’s right.

The Heirs of Aldo Rossi have exclusive ownership of almost all the copyright and author’s right on Aldo Rossi’s works and writings, except for: CCA. Canadian Centre for Architecture  and The J. Paul Getty Trust , who can provide information directly about their respective funds.

On the behalf of Aldo Rossi’s Heirs, the Foundation has partnered with Bridgeman Images  who manages the image licensing of the collection on its website.

Bridgeman Images also manages the copyright licensing for these images and for all the others in public and private collections worldwide, including Aldo Rossi’s copyright over his architectures and product design photographs.

In the event that the photograph requested is the work of a photographer other than Aldo Rossi himself, it will be your sole responsibility to obtain separate authorization from the photographer himself and to pay any fees to the latter. The Foundation will not be liable in any case for uses of such photographs without the authorization of the photographer entitled to them.

You can request high resolution images for academic, editorial and commercial use through Bridgeman Images.

The Aldo Rossi Foundation must receive three (3) copies of each publication reproducing works by Aldo Rossi. If not sent to the Foundation after the publication, they might be requested by the Foundation within 6 months from the publication.
